CHALLENGE

Galiakotwala Engineering Company (GEC), a name with a strong legacy in industrial innovation, sought to modernize its brand and digital presence. The company needed a visual and verbal identity that could bridge its rich heritage with its global ambitions. The challenge was to communicate complex technical information in a simple and credible way that would appeal to high-level stakeholders such as CXOs, procurement leaders, and plant heads without losing the authenticity of its history and values.

STRATEGY / BIG IDEA

I envisioned GEC’s transformation as a story of legacy meeting innovation. Working closely with our strategy and design teams, we set out to create a cohesive brand system that combined clarity with depth. The goal was to position GEC as a modern engineering leader grounded in values, sustainability, and trust. Our storytelling framework was built around a narrative journey moving from legacy and expertise to proof, innovation, and future readiness ensuring that every interaction with the brand told a consistent and credible story.

EXECUTION

We developed a comprehensive brand book defining both the visual and verbal identity of GEC. This included tone of voice, iconography, and design systems for print and digital use. A high-end corporate brochure was created to bring structure and elegance to product storytelling, helping sales and leadership teams communicate with authority. The website design followed a premium UX/UI model inspired by top industrial benchmarks like ABB and L&T. We integrated interactive timelines, sticky product specs, and case study modules to make the experience both informative and engaging. Alongside design, my team provided consulting on structure, narrative flow, and scalability for future content expansion.

OUTCOME

The new identity unified GEC’s brand across all touchpoints, creating a balance between tradition and modernity. Complex information was transformed into clear, accessible communication for global decision-makers. The redesigned website and brochure strengthened GEC’s positioning as a purpose-driven industrial leader prepared for the future. This project reflected how strategic design and storytelling, when built on authenticity, can elevate a legacy brand into a modern global presence.
